Adding Media

Fruml's media management lets you upload individual items or multiple items at once for use in your website content. To access the media manager, select Resources => Media from the Fruml menu.

Uploading a Single Media Item

To upload a single media item, perform the following steps:

Step 1: Enter a name for your file in the 'Name' field. (Example: My Sample File)

Step 2: Enter a description for your file in the 'Description' field. (Example: This is a sample file for testing.)

Step 3: Select the category in which you want to place this media item. If you have not created any categories, only the root category will be available to you.

Step 4: Click the icon to select a file to upload. Valid media files are listed below.

Step 5: Click the 'Save' or 'Save & Exit' button on the toolbar.

Uploading Multiple Media Items

To upload multiple items, perform the following steps:

Step 1: Double-click a media category to select it as the destination category.

Step 2: Click the 'Upload Media' button.

Step 3: Click the 'Click Here to Upload Files' button.

Step 4: Select the files to upload.

When uploading multiple items, Fruml will choose a name for each item based on it's filename. The name can then be edited later if necessary.

Valid Media Files

Not all file types can be uploaded to the media manager. The following file types are all valid.

IMAGE FILES

PNG, GIF, JPG, JPEG, JPE, BMP, TIFF, PSD

TEXT FILES

TXT, WRI, NFO

ARCHIVE FILES

ZIP, RAR, TAR, GZ, SITX, SIT, HQX

AUDIO FILES

MP3, WAV, AIF, OGG, WMA

MOVIE FILES

3GP, AVI, MP4, MOV, FLV, MPG

WEB / PROGRAMMING

HTM, HTML, XHTML, CSS, SWF

OTHER

DOC, XLS, PPT, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, PDF, OTF, TTF
